Diagnosis: Cervical spondylosis with radiculophathy and lower back pain.
Duration: Duration 7 years.

Onset:
Started with pain in the back of the head and neck. Later she developed radicular symptoms first in the right upper limb and later on the left side. She also complained of stiffness of her neck muscles particularly in the mornings and difficulty in doing certain intricate movements of her back and neck while dancing. Tingling and numbness in the fingers of both hands now and then. Localized low back pain started after a fall, not radiating to the lower limb 2-3 years duration. Lower back pain worsend with exercise and when mental tension increased. It is not related to menstruation . Past history of re-occurring attacks of tonsillitis .

Physical Examination:
Moderately built and well-nourished woman, not anemic . Blood pressure , pulse, heart , lungs  normal. No CNS deficiencies .

Local Examination:
Tenderness over the C1, C5, and C6 spines. Tenderness over the supra and interscapular regions on the right side.

Neck Movements: Only lateral rotation to the left was painful and
restricted. Other movements were not restricted and not painful.

Lower back:
Tenderness over the L5 spine. SLR negative both sides. No sciatica.
X-ray Cervical spine: Showed evidence of spondylosis at C4, C5 level.
X-ray Lumbo sacral region: Normal.
Blood count and sedimentation rate: Within normal limits.

Treatment: Patient was subject to Magnetic Field Therapy daily for one hour for a period of 35 days. She showed a gradual improvement from the 10th day onwards. After 30 days of treatment, she could move her neck in all directions without pain. She was completely relieved of her lower back pain also. Morning stiffness in her back and neck muscles improved considerably.

Follow up:
The patient visited our clinic once a month for 6 months after the completion of the treatment. After one month she reported that she is able to perform all the intricate and difficult movements with her neck and went dancing with ease and comfort.
